VINTAGE MYTHOLOGICAL GOAT NECKLACE, via EBAY
Bid to win this mint condition vintage runway couture necklace. This is a stunning Mythological Goat pendant necklace. Fabulous and fun. This pendant is hung on a gorgeous gold wire that sits in the ears of the mythological goat. The necklace will fit up to an 18” neck. The goat measures 4” long and 3” wide.
The items listed this week were all pulled for a Vogue shoot in Europe that maybe featured in Sept. or Oct. issues of American Vogue. If they do appear the winner will recieve a signed copy of Vogue from me personally (of course you will recieve your piece of jewelry right after the auction is paid for but i will keep your address to mail you the magazine ) I work with socialite women in Manhattan that usually only wear their pieces to events once and then I get to purchase there treasures!

Ebay: Very cool vintage choker necklace of a ram’s head. The ram’s head is highly detailed with an embossed criss cross pattern on his face and curved horns. Under the ram head are two flower plumes. Hanging from the plumes are two u shaped bars with a sort of fringe or ruffled design on them.
The pendant is fairly heavy. The ram has a sideways hole in his mouth (see pictures) that is not visible from the front. I don’t know if something use to hang from his mouth or not.
The metal is a slightly darker silver tone. The metal is in good condition with normal vintage wear. The metal has a few worn spots near the ram’s mouth and where the rings hold the U shaped bars in place but you have to look very closely to even notice that. The chain has a spring ring clasp.

The necklace offered today is made of 18k solid gold adorned with small diamonds, rubies and green emeralds. The design is very dramatic ram’s head that is quintessentially Greek. It takes us back to the legend of the Golden Fleece and images of ancient Greek deities. The center piece measures 2 inches N to S and 2 inches E to W and is suspended on a 16 inch chain. The necklace weighs 31 grams. The rubies have have small chips visible only with a loupe.
